Obsessions of a Perfectionist

This is going to be the dialog that is going through my head as I do my homework. I’m going to use AP chemistry homework (convenient since I just started the class and there’s a lot of homework already). Me: Okay, 26 questions to get done, I can do this. It should take 2 hours, max. Plus, I already read the chapter so I should know what’s going on. OCD: But do you really know what’s going on? You probably didn’t actually understand it, you should read it all over again slowly

I only rarely get a brief relief from anxiety, but those times come with their own challenges. Each weekend I mentally prepare myself to face whatever goes on in my mind. I don’t yet have a name for it yet, but it makes anxiety seem kind of nice. Each weekend I lose all motivation, all hope. I question why I try so much during the week, where I got the energy and motivation. Life seems so pointless then, we are all going to die, so why bother? I want to break off all contact,
